Created in December of 2006, the Crusade for Care benefits patient care at Fox Chase Cancer Center. The primary objective of creating this special fund was to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the patients and their loved ones affected by the cancer diagnosis. Cancer patients face many obstacles and challenges as they undergo difficult treatments. Yet, very often throughout their struggles, they strive to maintain hope and prepare themselves emotionally and spiritually for the future.

The Crusade for Care aspires to provide the tools needed for the patients and their children to combat the everyday obstacles associated with cancer.  These inspirational and relaxation items, including CD’s, DVD’s, books, journals, and Angel Bears to name a few, are given to the patients so that they may be filled with hope and a healing presence.  Helen Keller once proclaimed, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much!" Alone, our endeavor can only be a desire to help others; however, with the help of generous individuals, our ambitions will evolve into a powerful crusade for the care of cancer patients - the care that will motivate and prepare patients to overcome their struggles. Together, we can do so much!
